The highway tunnel rehabilitation was delivered design-build, one bore at a time, while traffic kept flowing two ways in the other. Crews repaired and relined the closed bore, then installed new lighting, jet fans, fire detection and suppression. Our team built the tunnel control network, cameras and emergency communications, and every system was tested with the operator before traffic switched over and work moved to the second bore.
